Before
contacting us
Many print-quality problems can be corrected by performing the cleaning procedures
outlined in your printer User Guide. If you do not have a copy for your printer,
please see the links below for cleaning procedures. In general, the "Eliminate
Light Stripes" procedure (help info, pdf)
may be used to restore your printer to full operating condition. The cleaning
procedure may need to be repeated 2 or 3 times before the problem is corrected.
Sometimes, turning your printer off overnight, then re-running the procedure
1-2 more times may help clear-up a missing inkjet. If you see spots or streaks
on your output, perform the "Remove Ink Smears" routine or clean the rollers
and wipers with our inexpensive cleaning kit (how-to,
pdf).
Does use of
Artisan Ink void my printer's warranty?
Using our compatible ink and toner products does not void your printer
warranty! Your existing printer warranty is still in effect when you use our
compatible solid ink or color toner cartridge products. Consumers are often
told by the printer manufacturer’s technicians or salespeople that using non-brand
supplies will "void" their warranty. This is not true and may be a violation
of Federal Trade laws if enforced by the printer manufacturer. Click
here for details on the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act and exercise
your right to choose compatible supplies! However, the manufacturer may not
honor your warranty if it can be proven that the compatible products are actually
directly responsible for your printer malfunction.
